I write about my ideas about money and freedom and how they are both one and the same.

The opponents of George W. Bush will tell you that the biggest problem with George W. Bush is that he is and continues to be George W. Bush. These same people had the same problem with Reagan until recently, when he up and stopped being Reagan. My question is what are they so afraid of? If he is really as awful as you say then he will destroy the Republican Party over the next four years. People will come to their senses and never vote Republican again. He will be Herbert Hoover th...

A lot of people think that life is pretty miserable and that it is getting worse. The world is on slippery slope to all kinds of different hells. The end of the world is nigh and good riddance anyway. I think life is pretty good. I think it is getting better every day. I think today we are at the height of human civilization, tomorrow we will be one step further, and we are far from the crest. I don’t think there is a crest. Not unless we start listening only to people who tell us ho...

Me...I believe I should go have a nice cold beer and a slice of pizza and sit down with my wife and plan our next trip to Disney World. You might believe that I am bringing this up just to brag about the fact that I am going to Disney World...and I believe you are right. See, now all our beliefs are out in the open.

I am pretty sure that throughout the course of history nobody every changed another man's opinion by starting off by calling him an idiot. Ok, I have no real evidence of that but I am pretty sure it wouldn't work with me and I am, on more than a few occasions, an idiot. Extrapolating from there I can guess that a lot of people are going to be offended and not persuaded by this. So when someone states from the top that the other side is an idiot you can be pretty sure they are not tryin...

It seems to me that it is becoming increasingly taboo to observe and judge other's flaunting taboos. It is almost an axiom that no man can judge another’s lifestyle because he does not really understand it. Someone is close minded when he is not accepting of other people’s choices. They are prejudiced when their morality and beliefs do not permit them to be approving. They are evil for considering others through stereotypes. So why is it perfectly acceptable, reasonable, and fair to ma...

People who say you can make money without risk have been around for a long, long time. They have always had an audience too. There are always people who are willing to believe you can get something for nothing. There is one born every minute and W.C. Fields believed you shouldn't give them an even break. People are swindled every day by people offering greater returns with low to almost no risk. It is actually illegal to say, in the US, that an investment carries no risk. The rule i...

Let me tell you a story about dreamers… My company bought another company. As it happened they both had a location in the same area that they decided to consolidate. For my department they decided to place a guy from the purchased company in charge. His name was Bill. One day my boss let me know a little bit about Bill’s philosophy. Bill believed that there were two kinds of people who worked for him…Dreamers and Doers. The Dreamers thought up the work, the Doers actually did the...

If money is not important to you then ask yourself this: Are the things I have bought and done with money important to me? If you say no and really mean it then you can truthfully say that money has no meaning. If you could care less what food you eat, what clothes you wear, what kind of car you drive, what kind of job you do, where you live and how you live there then you are free of money. But in my mind if you ever bought a Coke instead of drinking tap water then you have made a...

Does anybody really feel that money is not important? I find that people who say that either have plenty or they have none at all or they want some of mine. Money is not the root of all evil...the mindless pursuit of money against your ethics is. Earning money does not make one greedy...wanting money you did not earn makes you greedy. I think if people spent more time making the right decisions about money they would find that the almost everything works out better. Being smart and...
